"The power of love to change bodies is legendary, built into folklore, common sense, and everyday experience. Love moves the flesh, it pushes matter around.... Throughout history, "tender loving care" has uniformly been recognized as a valuable element in healing." ~Larry Dossey

Have you given your self any TLC lately? It's so easy to get caught up in being busy every day and to in turn totally forget about caring for our bodies. I do it ALL the time. This is something I'm working very hard on. We MUST care for our bodies so that our bodies can carry us strongly through our lives. I'm working on taking better care of myself inside & out. I'm focusing on accentuating that vibrant feeling that I have when I know that I've been doing things right. I want to be in tune with my physical self so that the other aspects of myself (mental, emotional, spiritual) can be happier also. When I'm tired, sluggish, grumpy, sad, moody; that is my body telling me that something is off. We can learn to avoid those negative feelings by focusing on and polishing the things that make us feel happy, vibrant and energetic. Not that we will NEVER have negative feelings (especially as women), but I know that I would love to have a lot less of them, and I know that when I'm caring for myself, negativity is minimized.

So, my recent resolution to myself is to do at least one positive thing for myself every day. This can mean so many things. Here are a few that I've done so far (in no particular order):

Try a new exercise at the gym, or a new routine out of a magazine
Try a new recipe
Read something inspiring
Write in my journal
Go for a walk
Tickle my kids
Go see a movie
Put on a song and sing really LOUD to it, or just dance to it
Take a sun bath
Call or write a friend/family member you haven't talked to in a while

If you have any other ideas, please share! And don't forget to give your self some TLC today! :)
